Maserati set a new all-time sales record of 623 units in the month of October, nearly tripling the North American sales total for the same month last year. The introduction of the Quattroporte S Q4, the first All-Wheel-Drive car to be offered by Maserati, helped increase brand sales in the US by over 186% versus Oct, 2012, and by 29% Year-to-Date. In addition, Maserati has already sold more vehicles in 10 months in the US than it sold in all of 2012.
“All-Wheel-Drive is a game changer for Maserati. Not only is it welcome in cold weather markets where this feature is appreciated, S Q4 also provides genuine Maserati performance with added excitement in markets where snow and ice are not an issue.” commented Maserati North America, Inc., President and CEO Bob Graczyk.
Continuing its expansion, the Maserati dealer network has reached 77 locations across North America in anticipation of the second all new car to be introduced in 2013, the mid-sized Ghibli sport sedan.
Powered by a proprietary, twin-turbocharged V-6 Maserati engine producing 345 HP with rear-wheel drive and 404 HP in S Q4 All-Wheel-Drive trim, the Ghibli accelerates from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 176 MPH (S Q4).
The Maserati Ghibli begins arriving in dealerships this month.
